Arachnid systematics, evolution, and biogeography - Phylogeny of mammals + other groups
Research in the Agnarsson lab focuses on systematics, evolution and biogeography of arthropods, especially SPIDERS and other arachnids (see Spider Systematics Review). Current spider projects include phylogenomics , biogeography and phylogeography in the Caribbean and the Indian Ocean, spider genomics and evolution of silk and their biomechanical properties, evolution of sociality and inbreeding, spider taxonomy, and the biology of geothermal areas in Iceland. We also work on systematics, biogeography, and biology of mammals and various other organisms.
